I recently received treatment for varicose veins from Mr Windhaber, and I am delighted with the results. From the initial consultation through to the follow-up appointment, my treatment and care have been first class. Mr Windhaber has a quiet and considered manner, never rushing appointments or treatment; always ensuring I understood what was happening and that I was comfortable at all times. If anyone is considering varicose vein treatment, I would definitely recommend Mr Windhaber.

Mr Windhaber was friendly, helpful and hugely informative, he listened to my issues then explained the process. Whilst he scanned my legs, he described the condition of my veins (I was able to view the screen showing the scan too). He suggested treatment options and timescales. There was no rush to make a decision (although I was eager to crack on with it!) On the day of the procedure, he recapped everything that was going to happen and kept checking that I was happy. The procedure was straightforward, there was a little discomfort, a slight tugging sensation occasionally. Throughout the operation Mr Windhaber was talking to me and telling me what was happening, he was very reassuring, in fact the whole team were very friendly and chatty. The following day I was able to drive and although my legs felt a little tight for a few days, I was able to carry on as usual. I am completely delighted with the results; my legs are smooth, and I don't have to keep covering them up with thick tights or trousers, my legs are also much more comfortable, no swollen ankles, and no heavy leg feeling. It was a completely positive experience, all the staff at the hospital were warm and friendly from start to finish. Mr Windhaber made the whole process very straightforward, explained everything and did a fabulous job! Thank you!

Very apprehensive about having my varicose veins removed. I had a very strong (unfounded) fear of having a blood clot and subsequent problems. As a result, I didn't really believe I would proceed further than my initial consultation. However ..... I shouldn't have wasted my energy in worrying! Dr Windhaber took his time in explaining everything to me carefully. I did wonder if an hour would have been too long but it went past so fast and I was left in no doubt about booking in to have the procedure done as soon as possible. Everything which had been explained to me then happened as expected. I felt incredibly safe and looked after throughout the whole time. The three staff members were all great, explaining and checking and reassuring the whole way through. I was home within 3 hours. Pretty sore, I won't lie! Healing however was fast. I'm now 2 months on and my legs feel fantastic. Before, I suffered with all the classic problems; aches, swelling, hotness etc One leg is perfect, the other is getting there, just a bit slower. I had complex veins in this leg so I'm confident time will get me there. Visually they are so much better. All healed really fast actually, no lumpy legs or bulging blue !!! I'd recommend this to anyone suffering with the dreaded varicose vein problems. I wish I'd had it done a few years ago now. Dr Windhaber and his team are wonderful and I thank them all.
